I’m Denis Richard, the founder of Coin Photography Studio. With over 30 years of experience in commercial photography and eight years as the principal photographer at one of Canada’s largest numismatic dealers, I’ve dedicated my craft to capturing coins not just as objects, but as expressions of history, beauty, and meaning.

In addition to my work as a professional numismatic photographer, I write The Numismatic Image, a regular column for the Royal Canadian Numismatic Association's Canadian Numismatic Journal. Through the column, I examine the techniques, technology, and philosophy behind coin photography, offering collectors new perspectives on how numismatic images are created, interpreted, and used to preserve and present their collections.

My professional affiliations include the American Numismatic Association, the Royal Canadian Numismatic Association, and the Ontario Numismatic Association.
